This, I think, would actually be a great fight. Better than Pac vs Danny Garcia IMO. Pac vs Garcia would certainly end up seeing danny get beat down pretty hard. Danny just doesn't have the skills, the power, and most of all the heart to beat Pac and Pac would just devour him. Marcos has all of the above plus size on Pac, it would be a great fight, Maidana has a chin, loads of power, he too can hit from angles (as floyd is certain to attest to) and his heart is unmatched. I'd say make it happen, I'd buy it...

This would be a great PPV. I've been watching Maindana since 2010 and I just can't see how he beats Pac. That heart will get him hurt and possibly TKOed.

If Manny v Maidana happens then this would be a good fight that I would watch.

That said, ARum seems to only mention names to give the illusion he is trying to work with Haymon managed fighters. Then if the fight doesn't happen the sheep will poin at Al when Bob had no inetention of making any of the fights he's mentioned.

While Maidana is that same guy, with that same temperament. A guy who will go after you and let his hands fly, his skills have vastly improved all around.

He can now hold his own in the middle of the ring, even against top boxers. Enough to make you miss, and back you up to let his hands go. Pacs speed would be the issue here. I think he would clearly be the favorite, but people saying this would look like Marg or Rios don't know what they are talking about. Maidana has some skill to his game and he's awkward as hell. Rios and Marg are extremely basic, have no defense, and solely rely on toughness.

Maidana would come in as a another Garcia fighter vs Pacman (0-2). They say "third times the charm". I don't think maidana will win but he'll have a better performance. Unlike rios or marg, Chino's been with guys with speed (khan, broner, may, lopez, etc) and has done pretty good against them. He's just as tough but the main difference is skills.

Pac, in the last 10 years, has only struggled with bradley, marquez, and morales. Everyone else pretty much dominated or destroyed. Chino's dont compare to those three except for maybe for morales cos he like to fight more than box. Chino's style aint nothing pac has seen.

Prediction: manny UD, with a lil more scary moments than the rios fight just based on skill.

But, the most important point is that with this pac win, it'll again push mayweather to the corner with people saying pac beat him easier, and force him to pac. Fight needs to f'in happen. And it sucks people have to keep seeing teasers to a potential pac-may showdown.

I heard that 1.5 was the guarantee but the rumor I heard was that Maidana would also be taking 100% of the Argentina tv revenue.

i also heard that after it flopped and did way below the 1.1million buys it needed for Showtime to break even.. they pulled that off the table.. a clause.. but Mayweather made his 32million..
