I hate the Rod Salka fight. But does Swift deserve an easy one?

Not this easy! If anything I wanted a rematch with Herrera or a fight with Peterson.

The real problem is the card is terrible. Haymon or GBP pulled Porter out of the Brook fight for whatever reason and put on three poor fights as replacement.

Even if he "deserves" another easy one, he certainly could do better than Salka.

in between the khan and judah fights, the dude fought a freaking rematch with erik morales...

this fight is hugely embarrassing. danny's ego must have taken a huge hit against herrera. i can't see any other reason to take this much of a step back.

the guy is 19-3 and has three f#cking knockouts. three of them.

danny is thea freaking lineal champion at 140. there is no higher belt.

there is no greater insult than putting a fight like this on freaking showtime, which costs me $20 a month.

If you look at Danny's career he's been in against one good fighter after another. Up to and including Mauricio Herrera.

Is he entitled to take a soft touch?
Campbell, Holt, Morales, and Judah don't count. Yeah good names but not fair when Danny is in his prime. The Lucas and Khan fights, sure.

And to answer the question. If there's nothing else out there, fine take what you can get. At least attempt to fight someone who is a legit "soft touch".

But no, when you are THE champion why should you be allowed to fight anyone other than the best available contender, (promotional BS aside) just because you were in tough previously (which is the whole point of being a champion).

I worked hard yesterday, I'm going to sit here and do nothing all day. Nobody would have a job if that was the mentality.

Typical ShoulderTroll. He'll soon start arguing that Stevenson deserves another tune-up because he struggled against Fornfarna.

Just because Garcia struggled and arguably lost to Herrera doesn't mean it was a great match-up. There were far better matches to be made than Herrera. And I don't even need to start on this next monstrosity.

I used to think it was a black thing with this guy but he's actually an exclusive ****rider of Al Haymon fighters.
