I Hope danny trains for this fight.
I hate the Rod Salka fight. But does Swift deserve an easy one?

Im not hating on Danny (he's fun to watch) but he's had his share of easy fights. He should be at least fighting Peterson by now. Dudes done enough milking.
BTW the angst isn't toward you, it's in response to the thread. Even though TS is just trolling.Comment

All good bro I have no angst toward you either I agree I hate this salka fight should have just fought Peterson and gone ahead and moved up.Comment

lol
I assure you I'm not trolling. I happen to think that occasionally feasting on easier fights while also taking on the toughest contenders is good for a world champion. He doesn't burn out too quickly that way.
But I'll grant you that choosing Salka is really pushing it.Comment

No he does not deserve a soft touch and neither does any other world champion!! He's a freaking world champion, there are so many deserving fighters waiting patiently in line while taking on tough fight after tough fight in the hopes of one day earning a shot at the ****en title!! Why would the champ deserve to keep that title hostage while he takes a freaking break. If you want a soft touch or want to go on vacation then you need to vacate the title and take a vacation from your profession.Champions in the past have sprinkled in easy bouts between their tougher matches. Rid**** Bowe fought Michael Dokes and Jesse Ferguson, for example, in between the first and second Evander Holyfield fights.
If you look at Danny's career he's been in against one good fighter after another. Up to and including Mauricio Herrera.
Is he entitled to take a soft touch?
Furthermore, all of this deserving of a soft touch talk I keep reading about everywhere is just plain moronic and unbelievable in the sense that so many so called boxing enthusiast would try to justify anything short of the best possible fights.Comment
