TMT is supposed to be the next home for these Haymon fighters. But the third guy in the supposed triumvirate of next-gen promoting is out there throwing his money on strippers. Money Mayweather promised to hire Schafer and we've heard nothing of it so far. Forbes' wealthiest athlete could easily put some of his money on the venture, yet where tf is he?

why do u think u cant listen to everything u hear everyone hated haymon 3 hours ago for no reasonWhy aren't people calling Gomez a "snake"? I heard Schafer was one because he was allowing Haymon fighters to fight on GBP cards even though they weren't promoted by GBP (wow, no promoter has ever done that before!). Gomez says he has no problem with that so is he a snake?Comment

They Negotiate Fighter contracts under New York law. The Break up between GBP and Schaefer involved Lawers, arbitration and an agreement. A non-compete clause could have been terms of the agreement between GBP and Schaefer in order for Schaefer to remain a stock holder in the company, as well as have a golden parachute. Remember when Mosley left GBP and signed with a rival company, Mosley had to relinquish his stock back to GBP for $1.00. Based on the contract that Mosley agreed to that's exactly what happened. Im sure Schaefer preferred to retain his stock, hence a non-compete agreement.I've heard non-competes aren't legal in California, and I think thats whose law GB's contracts are under, at least from what I remember from the whole Guerrero situation.
Haymon may have worked with GB, but Floyd only seemed to have worked with shaeffer, the GB owner was kind of a **** to him the whole timeComment

All golden boy can hope to do is slowly build up new talent not managed by al Haymon. It's not a favorable arrangement to share a piece of the pie with Al and let him dictate match ups and other things.
All by verbal agreement and a handshake.... That makes me laugh. This Vice President is so naive.Comment

Good luck with that one! Haymon has fighters begging to sign up with him. And dudes are getting this all wrong, haymon is an advisor or you could say a manager. He works with more than 1 promoter as the article states. You have dudes calling haymon a cancer to boxing. But these same dudes will call arum the best promoter in the game lol. Emanuel Stewart was a trainer/manager. He got 40% of Tommy Hearns purse, 20% as trainer and 20% as manager. And he got his fighters good fights. Haymon will be around for a long time. He is the hottest manager in the game. Because he takes cafe of his stable. All golden boy can hope to do is slowly build up new talent not managed by al Haymon. Yeah it's an uphill climb but GBP having a verbal arrangement with a guy that has all the talent hemmed up is just horrible for them... It's like they are taking the risk to promote these guys, but only on a fight to fight basis. Business is cutthroat and as soon as AH has another alternative he will take it, if there is no form of signed agreement to bind him into semi or full exclusivity. GBP's has to build up its own exclusive stable without ultimately toxic and useless proxy relationships muddying the issue. This is toxic for boxing because AH is trending toward these TBA bull**** cards. Look at the upcoming Danny Garcia card.Good luck with that one! Haymon has fighters begging to sign up with him. He or she has no clue. Just throwing words out there that's he or she has heard. Typical of posters that really want to say "black people" but they mask it in terms like that, but don't know what the hell the terms mean.Comment
