Algeri will lose to the first good fighter he fights including a rematch with Ruslan and Ill bet money on it. Name one top fighter he defeated other than Ruslan. I thought Ruslan beat him anyway. He can box but he is a runner with no real power. He will not be champion long.

Some of you guys are making me shake my head, acting like he doesn't deserve a fight with a big name, like a Danny Garcia, Mayweather or a Manny Pacquiao.

please just leave, this guy is a much better version of Paulie Malignaggi. He is also a way more skilled fighter than Maidana, he used to box circles around Maidana and Rios in sparring, he is no joke. Stop saying ****** crap acting like he isn't worthy, they guy is a champion and he is skilled, he is not a paper champion.

I am telling you right now learn boxing, this guy just amazed everyone who is unbiased, he put on a helluva a fight, showed he can overcome adversity and boxed the sox off of the most feared man at 140 with one eye shut. What's scary is he is just going to get better, he is one of those older fighters that will fight longer because they stay in good shape and eat healthy year round.

I favor him over Danny Garcia and Manny Pacquiao. Garcia struggled with Herrera and got a gift, and Pacman will get knocked out going forward trying to chase him, he gets caught with a right hand because Pacman always moves forward with his hands down for some reason.

I even favor him over Mayweather he is a nuisance, he moves too much for Floyd, Floyd only likes flat foot guys who he can grapple with inside and hold on to dear life.

Floyd struggled with Maidana a flat foot, slow tailormade guy, imagine how he will be against a tall, guy with long arms and fast hands, and fast feet who moves a lot and jabs a lot like Algeiri?

Algeiri is a very good fighter. He would not be favored over any of the above fighters though. His style will give fighters problems and he may/can beat some really good B+/A- fighters. He just doesn't have the power to keep the Elite fighters off of him. If he were 23-27 years old, then I would say that he may develop more power but he isn't going to...he is a great tv fighter though.

Algieri seems legit..He won his belt off a real Champion and was not handed one like some other fighters I could name..I think he deserves credit for what he did in the ring,I do believe he gives a lot of fighters trouble as well..He has very good boxing I.Q.and is tough as hell..Can't ask for much more from a fighter tbh..
