Have it your way, of course there's nothing impressive in winning a title in your 8th fight, against the next great fighter, happens all the time. Felix Verdejo just did it last week I think
Verdejo whooped Lomaa and got robbed in the AMs so...

And like I said not impressed the fact that they are lying about it. You would expect a guy with that Ama pedigree to actually win a title within 15 fights or so..

He have good skills, if he learns to fight the full 3 minutes and seat down more on his punches he will be a force at 126/130 maybe the #1 guy pretty soon.

Come on, Gary Russell Jr. was no push over. The guy was picked for the U.S. olympics for crying out loud. Loma cut him down as the fight wore on. I forgot what round maybe the 6th where Russell was on the verge of going down. He froze up from all the body punches he was taking.

Anyway, I think Russell learned a lot from this fight and he will come back better. At least he wasn't afraid to lose which is more than can be said for some fighters.

With his Ama pedigree and all the hype he have he got some rules bent to get that title shot. Its not easy to get a title shot that fast even if you want to do it.

Lots of politics and you know it!

Verdejo is 13-0 and hasn't even faced anyone the level of lomas first pro fighter, does he really suck?

And if that's your expectation and he did it in 3 or 9, then that's not impressive?

And he clearly lost to him, please font go full ****** now (too late I think)

Verdejo beat his ass, BS scoring in the amateurs

And yes Verdejo has been fighting bums, cant deny that! Arum needs to step it up with, even though he is young, the fights he is getting doesn't help him at all.

                    1. Lomachenko beat a ranked WBO contender in his first fight.

                    2. Because he beat a ranked WBO contender, he gets to be ranked by the WBO

                    3. The WBO champion can defend his title against any ranked contender.

                    4. Salido (The WBO champion) defended his title against Lomachenko (a ranked contender)

                    5. Salido missed weight, lost his belt and it was a non-title bout

                    6. Lomachenko gets a second opportunity to fight for the title because of those circumstances against Russell. If Salido made weight, it would have been Salido vs. Russell for the title.

What rules were bent? This is how boxing organizations have always worked.

I said that in a figurative way. Promoters all ways wait 15-20 fights to start thowing their fighters to the lions, they fight mandatories, get ranked first.

There is no way a guy deserves to get rank top 10 with just one fight.

Dont act like you dont know what im talking about.
