Hard to say. I don't have a whole lotta time for AB but I agree that probably most of the self-promotional s#it he comes out with isn't reflective of his true personality - the same could be said of most 'stars' in the media spotlight whether in boxing or from any other walk of life.

What AB certainly is however is a boxer and as such almost by definition a lover of the sport he's involved in - this is likely a very genuine comment by AB - no need for anyone to read anything else into it.

All these fighters' lives revolve around their gyms and the sport and other guys involved in it - nothing wrong or strange with AB giving some credit where it's due.
