I don't believe Russell ever wanted to fight a live body until he absolutely had to.

Vasyl always came off as the more confident determined fighter.

Tone down his punch avoidance? SERIOUSLY? This is hit & not be hit, you do know that, RIGHT? SMDH...

        10-2 - at worst........

            Lomachenko proved his quality.

We also know he failed his big test, sure. That doesn't mean he won't still be great. It's like a mathematical child prodigy genius who wants to take a degree exam before he's even finished high school. The likelihood is you won't pass the test till you are ready. However, although GRJ has MORE experience, IMO Loma has better experience. He now knows what to expect in the pros, and will know he can't be passive at times and expect to win.

I am 100% confident Loma will come back in this fight with the neccesary adjustments and will beat GRJ.

Right now he's getting there, he is still managing when and where is the right time to apply his burst pressure punches, that's what caused his defeat to salido, He mismanaged the use of his stamina. Because when he's letting it go, he is clearly the better, more accurate and the deadlier of the two. If he'd let go of his hands earlier in the fight, he could have bag his first pro fight and possibly stop salido too. But then again, that's part of being green, loma is still green in professional boxing, mismanaging of stamina is a sign of greenness. What really helps loma though, is his good movement and he knows distance, he has decent pop, not earth shaking, everything is good really, he is fundamentally sound already, he just needs to get over that mismanagement of stamina and he's really good to go. Rigo though could still befuddle him in the end, but right now this is potentially rigo's most dangerous opponent out there.
This ^. Lomachenko may have a ton of talent, but he still has to gain more experience in the pro game. Rigo may be the most technically perfect boxer in the sport and I wouldn't want to see the pair meet until Vasyl has ironed out some of the flaws in his pacing and become more familiar with the judging in pro bouts etc.

When - and I assume it will happen eventually - this fight happens I want to see them both at their best (of course, given Rigos age, and my lack of patience, that means within a year or two). Until then I hope both fighters are given the opportunities to both develop and showcase their talents.

We are kinda fortunate to have two of the best amateurs in history in the pro-ranks at adjacent weight-classes at the same time. This shouldn't be a fight that is spoiled by being made prematurely though.
