Will Russell's left hand hold up?

He's got so many injuries with it. Granted he does his best work with his right because he's actually a right handed southpaw but against lomachenko he's going to have to use it. Will it hold up? There's almost always problems after his fight with his left. I can't see him beating Loma with only his right. Ive got Loma in this one.

The thing they both have in common? Both right handed southpaws.

Russell said in an interview that if Loma tries to push the fight he can make it go less than 12 rounds so maybe it won't become a problem for him? Who knows. I see this fight as a pick em 50/50 fight maybe slight favor in GRJ.

In an interview (waaay back in his amateur days) he actually said he also had major problems with his left and has gone to see docs and specialists. They have that in common as well.

He should be more worried about keeping his right hand up. He's lucky he hasn't fought an opponent who can exploit that.

Well I've seen Russell have the viscous right hook KO on someone back 2 years ago i think.. I think it was a 1 punch counter KO too. It'll be interesting to see how both their chins hold up if either start landing flush.

This is the only thing that has me worried about a Russell win. Russell Jr's father gave an interview saying he hurt his finger during this camp and had to go over a week without sparring.

Russell got the most brittle hands since mayweather. Can you imagine if he fought someone like Salido and broke his hand?

Wait, Russell has problems with his left hand even with the level of competition he's facing?

That's definitely not a good sign.

I think the injuries a lot of times came from those crazy Speed Combos he throws. Maybe he should pace himself a bit more and pick his punches more.

But that is what makes this fight 50/50, it is hard to pick a favorite because you JUST DON'T KNOW from either fighter
