Bump - let's getting talkin' bout these fights. Good to see Guerrero back in action (I have no idea who his opponent is) and the Russell-Lomachenko fight is a decent matchup

This is a good card. Slow start to the year but the next 3-4 weeks make up for it.

Not a bad card, at least we're getting 5 fights or so with the SHOExtreme portion. I got Guerrero by UD over Kamegai, rooting for Kamegai though. I've always thought Guerrero was overrated and is one of the few fighters I never root for against anyone else.

Russell-Lomo is the best and most interesting fight on the card. I see most are going GRJ and that is where my head is telling me to go. His fast hands and tight technique are as impressive as anyone in the sport. Lomachenko showed in the Salido fight some of his weaknesses, such as low output, lack of experience, and overly patient at times. I don't see GRJ having an experience edge because he's fought absolute garbage as a pro, no offense to TBA. I'm in the minority, but I'm picking Lomo by clear UD. I think he may drop Russell once or twice and GRJ might drop him as well. Could also turn into a match where no one wants to lead and they stare at each other. Just that kind of fight.

I'm rooting for JSK to destroy The Grunt, but I don't he'll have the skill to pull it off. I see Alexander holding excessively on the inside, just like Maidana, and Karass getting outboxed at range all night. Would absolutely love to be wrong on this one.

Hopefully not. At his best, Lomachenko is a pressure fighter who relentlessly attacks. Gary Russell has fast hands, but, at least in his pad work, he seems to arm punch. It's very difficult to know how good Russell is when he's fighting guys like Gusev (his best opponent to date) and Ruiz. It's a fairly safe bet that even the inexperienced version of Lomachenko is better than Tamayo. Lomachenko said in an interview that he plans to throw a lot more punches and use a lot more movement than he did in the Salido fight.
