Let's be honest. This fight cannot headline and sell anywhere else but New York. If he's willing to be a co-main or an undercard somewhere then that's different.

why do people keep saying, "provo landed the harder shots." after the first round, neither guy was ever visably hurt. I don't care if provo was hitting him with a sledgehammer and algeri was hitting him with a pillow. Algeri landed the cleaner shots. And he landed more of them.

HBO, Provo's team, and many of these clowns on here are just butt hurt because they put their hopes in yet another limited, overrated brawler. Same happened with Matthysse. GGG and Kovalev are better than those two.But they're not near the wrecking machines many on here think they are. Most of these people were casual fans up until about 07-08. They were introduced to Floyd Mayweather during the DLH fight build up and hated him. Then they fell in love with Manny after he beat Oscar. And because of Manny's success, they fall in love with every brawler that comes down the pike.

Ruslan still had the crowd due to the large Russian populace in NY. Much like how Cotto garners Puerto Rican's in NY (not to the same effect of course).

You could definitely hear the crowd backing of Provo.

and that right there too! i remember jim lampley even made a comment about it. he said something like it sure is taking them a long time to tally up the scores.

not saying u directly but the ones saying algeri won is saying it was a blow out and since u believe algeri won i just group u in with the rest LOL. they say if u take away the first round then ruslan is a bum. so meaning the fight was a blow out if u take away round 1.
