Im up for a rematch. Why not? Ruslan did hurt him and could do it again. or he could get out boxed. Either way Algieri is not proven. Dont know why people are so high on him? He has a ton of heart and courage to fight the way he did. Having said that, he looked like a ****in train wreck after what prov did to him. Beating ruslan doesnt make you a proven. Same goes with beating Alvarado or rios. But it was not a clear victory for any fighter. Plus the ruslan haters need to realize if he is such a "bad" boxer and he still hit algieri, what would a great boxer do to him...

I agree. You have to take it. Same reason prov lost to bradley.

You gotta beat the champ to take the belt....only said in disputed decisions in favor of the champ

Well if Ruslan wants the rematch.. do it then.

Can't really see what Chris can do differently.. but Ruslan merely has to relax a bit and let the body open up the head.

I dont see how people had algieri win the fight. In the website, sweet science, a writer there by the name THOMAS HAUSER pointed out the following, which I completely agree,:

"Since then, the dcision has been widely criticized. I was among the early critics. On fight night, I scored the bout 116-111 (7-4-1 in rounds) for Provodnikov. After the fact, I learned that CompuBox recorded Algieri outlanding Provodnikov by a 288-205 margin. That didn't sway me. Further to that point, according to CompuBox, Algieri outlanded Provodnikov in every round but the twelfth (when Ruslan had a 13-to-11 margin). But "punches landed" aren't dispositive of scoring issues. This is professional boxing, not amateur competition. Like knockdowns, hard punches should be weighted more heavily than pitty-pats."

I couldn't agree more with the guy. I have never seen anyone win off of throwing feather punches all night and running away while doing it.

Dude Prod should've never let Chris see round 12 period.... But not only did he get to the finish line he hit Rus with some head snapping shots in the process. Rus put up a good fight but this was a fight he should've dominated but got razorly edged out of. Rematch him Rus then do what you shoulda done in the first place!!!

I don't see how anyone thinks Provodnikov won.. and I was rooting for Provodnikov. I had him losing 116-110... Provodnikov was outboxed, outworked, and outclassed..

Easy fight for Algieri and a rematch would be worse with Algieri being able to see out of both eyes.
