Comments Thread For: Andrade: I'm Ready For Cotto, Canelo, Mayweather, Lara

WBO junior middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade (21-0, 14KOs) is ready to face the best fighters of his division. Andrade was in action this past Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and demolished mandatory challenger Brian Rose (25-2) in seven rounds.

Andrade wants to fight the other champions at his weight, or even WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto - who is likely to return to 154-pounds.

This kid has big balls, but i'm still not convinced. I'd like to see him against James Kirkland or Austin Trout. He's not on the level of Cotto, Canelo, Lara, or GGG yet.

You can't win with boxing fans.

Boxer: "I'd love to fight the big names"
NSB Poster: "Oh, he's too arrogant, has a big ego"

Boxer: "I leave it to my promoter/manager who he wants me to fight next"
NSB Poster: "Oh he's ducking x and x, he'll be exposed!!"

The guy wants anyone at the top, you gotta appreciate that in an already champion. Surely, he would like the payday more, but he's willing to put his record/career on the line to do so.

I personally like Andrade, he's showed he has a lot of tricks in his bag.

100% agree with you, you can never win. These boxing fans just like to hate. Andrade's attitude should be greeted with props the dude is fairly new to the big league and he is willing to fight any of the top fighters.

Agreed 100%. NSB is so fickle...

I was impressed with Andrade his last two fights and want to see him step it up in competition.

That is good, he still needs to really make his mark so he needs to be willing to fight anyone.
