    HBO = worst commentary ever

    Prov-Algieri was incredibly biased, Ward was EASILY the most on point and you could almost tell someone from HBO had a knife to his throat keeping him in check not to say that he had Algeri up. I can't believe they weren't saying a thing about half the left hooks he shot to Ruslan's body. Also they barely mentioned Algieri's punches that snapped Ruslan's head back. Jab, left body shot, spin away while jabbing.. great!

    My prediction for the fight: Provodnikov KO in 7 in an easy fight after 2 rounds.

    How it actually went:
    Provo starts great with thunderous power that he has, but as rounds go on he loses sight of the body with only the occasional thudding right hand mostly. He head hunted too much, also terrible punch selection. Lack of uppercuts and punching the air with the left hook.

    Every time Provo was ready to punch Algieri caught on and moved away.

    Chris Algieri 114-112, and the first half wasn't exactly Ruslan's either. If you judged this fight you can't say it didn't make you extremely objective.

    Also, you can't judge a fight solely off punching power. Nobody controls how much power a man has. That left eye damage is incredibly overrated as a way to say Provo won.

    in short, HBO sucks (I watched Cotto-Martinez through Top Rank commentary.. much more enjoyable) and Algieri won fair and square. No robbery.

      Paulie was good as always last night and even Jim Watt shockingly was unbiased. He had it 114-112 for Provodnikov, not a problem it was a close fight (I had the same score the other way). Just surprised he was actually able to call a fight without picking one guy and running along with it.

        HBO has always been biased to their signed fighters for as long as I've watched them.

                  Paulie Malignaggi was working for Sky Sports in the UK. He was also commentating on the Froch-Groves rematch. Looks like he's going to become a regular on Sky.

                    I thought the commentating was the best it's been in awhile for HBO tbh..Mostly cause Ward did not let anyone sway his opinion and it gave Max more confidence to speak how he really felt..I had the fight 7-5 for Algieri,yet I can see the same score in Prov's favor as well..This was not a whitewash for either fighter imo..Most rds were close tbh..

                    I did not find myself annoyed at all by the commentating tbh and fair..They gave Algieri his credit and even said they felt it was a close fight..I completely disagreed with the scorecard they had..Yet it was not all of them who had that score which was great..All in all I thought it was one of the better called fights from the hbo team this yr..
