Broner is incredibly stiff and can't deal with any movement. That's why a shot Paulie nearly beat him. Algieri lays hands on Broner all night. He won't just stand in Adrian's range and eat pot shots others do. Chris would expose him far worse than Maidana did.

He really focuses more on fighting like Floyd than he does on fighting like himself. He started to fight like Floyd i think when he fought Vicente Escobedo.

Broner is okay, but only looks good beating up on guys who are a weight class below him.

To be honest I can see Broner trying to take that direction as he needs some hardware to try to make a mega fight happen (possible Pacquiao showdown he asked for). I know he doesn't want to fight Danny Garcia (IIRC he said so in an interview on SHO), so that leaves Peterson or Algieri. Chris Algieri seems more favorable for Broner, as Algieri lacks power (8 KO's in 20 wins compared to 16 KO's in 32 wins for Peterson).

I still don't know much about Chris Algieri, so I can't say confidently who would win but I definitely wouldn't be surprised to see Broner win impressively. Would be nice to see Algieri win another upset though.

Algieris is facing Rios, Jessie Vargas or Alvarado next. Definitely not a Haymon fighter!

Broner needs to get off first sometimes and not just sit waiting for the counter all night if he's gonna beat a guy likes Algieri who isn't gonna hang around to be countered after he attacks. Tbh I just think Broners stance inhibits his mobility to the point where he is just going to have fits against anyone who can move and box to a decent level.
