Kovalev is the one who's protected and picks bums. Chilemba is scheduled to appear on the undercard...why isn't he Kovalev's opponent? He'd be much more interesting than this nobody. Kovalev will be exposed as a one dimensional robot when he finally gets Stevenson or Hopkins.

Fonfara laid out the blue print. Take a massive beating for 8 plus rounds than try and land something later. If Kovalev has the heart to fight that way than more power to him. But personally I don't think Kovalev can last four rounds with Stevenson. Stevenson has ability and tools that nobody else in that division has. Reminds me a lot of Pacquiao back in the day coming up.

He doesn't have Fonfaras reach. And from what I've seen he doesn't have Stevensons speed and movement either. The thing about Stevenson is he jumps on you early. That speed and power can't be duplicated in sparring so it blinds guys early on. If Kovalev is tough enough to with stand that than he has a chance.

Kovalev wouldn't need to last to the 8th round nor take lots of damage, because he'd end it long before then.

Stevenson has no boxing ability and is ONLY ever looking for the left-hand power punch. No defence or stamina, can't take body shots & poor chin.
