I love Miguel Cotto... but no matter whos training him.. hes never beating Floyd "Money" Mayweather.

I don't like BigJavi...I think he's a di*krider & a douche. But having said that. My personal knock against floyd was always that I believe he decided to retire for those two years instead of run the Gauntlet at Welter when it was the thickest & hottest div in boxing & let those guys beat up on each other & then come back once the dust settled w/ out having to fight any of the top guys there. Had floyd had to fight a margarito, a mosley, a cotto, a williams, a pacquiao, a clottey, cintron, Zab, Berto, Collazo, Quintana (I may be forgetting someone) They all had undefeated records or were on the uptick. Had floyd had to fight the best of the div in some succession there is a strong chance he doesn't remain undefeated bc of the opposition & the timing of the fights.

I do know one thing...had he taken on those assignments people from this generation really would be looking at him as the best ever. But it's pac & Cotto who ends up fighting everyone up there on that list. Hence the love & respect they get from fans. Had floyd done that there would be zero questioning of him. So I don't think he ducked cotto exclusively but he did Avoid basically the entire div until they were older or faded or had been battered by ko....that's a shame. But there's nothing wrong w/ a promoter or team in Cotto & arum saying that fight will happen wen I get some more seasoning. We want to fine tune some things...

Didn't Cotto (& a few others) have to leave Top Rank to get the Mayweather fight????

Here is when Floyd ducked the WWs including Cotto:

Floyd Mayweather is NOT interested in a fight with Cotto 2007-12-16..... Floyd gave his thought on Cotto trying to lure Floyd into a fight...... more importantly, Floyd doesn't feel the fight makes any financial sense at the moment.

WBC welterweight champ Floyd Mayweather Jr. (39-0, 25KOs) is not interested in a potential fight with WBA champ Miguel Cotto (31-0, 25KOs) of Puerto Rico, at le

Thank you. If ya "like" me or not, I could care less because ya don't do anything for me. Back to the subject at hand. So mayweather didn't retire after the ricky hatton fight saying, "I have nothing else to prove"? Also another quote, "we dont fight to see whos the best, we fight to make money." Also, floyd in that article talks about "pressure pressure pressure", that is not the way to beat him, which is an utterly complete lie, cuz he only fought 3 pressure fighters, maidana, ortiz(garbage fighter with no chin), and castillo, and arguably lost to both castillo and maidana.

And to "mistermartin", shut the f**k up hater, you was riding martinez's d**k so hard your breathe smells like ball sacks. You are just mad that I pointed out why I think cotto is a better fighter than martinez.
