According to multiple sources in Poland, former two division world champion Tomasz Adamek (49-3, 29KOs), 37-years-old, will potentially return on October 18th in Lodz, Poland. Adamek was last in the ring this past March, where he lost a twelve round decision to undefeated heavyweight contender Czar Glazov of Ukraine. Prior to that, Adamek had a five fight win streak. He still hopes to land a major title shot in the near future.

sure why not? Austin is doesn't pose much of a threat these days at 43 or 44 so it's a nice pay day to collect in front of the home town fans. adamek is a warrior but the battles have caught up to him. i wonder if king & stiverne would consider him in Poland?

Although, I believe Adamek lost the fight and should think about retirement he did come on strong in his last fight. In my opinion he won at least the last three rounds in the fight with Glazkov.

That idea should motivate Adamek's management and the fighter himself some more.

Didn't he announce his retirement after his last fight?

Common as with many fighters, the temptation of more paydays and missing the fighting game keeps them coming back for more. Adamek can earn good money fighting in his native Poland, where he has a near legendary status.

Adamek is a big draw in NJ (bigger than Andre Ward..haha) and in Poland can make a decent living fighting scrubs and fringe contenders.

Adamek fighting at hw has always looked good against B-C level opponents. He's entertaining and crowd pleasing; just not elite
