Kell Brook is all set to battle Shawn Porter for the IBF welterweight title in New York on August 9. In the last two years, Brook and former champion Devon Alexander saw three planned dates get canceled due to injuries. Alexander was then shocked by Porter, last December, for the title. Porter then retained the belt earlier this year with a four round demolition of former two division world champion Paul Malignaggi.

I went to a baseball game in Tokyo. They were selling hot dogs, Japanese style, but it looked like a hot dog. I stepped up and asked for a hot dog and the guy didn't get it, he shrugged. I said, hotsui inui, that's Japanese for hot dog, and he/they started to laugh. Finally, another Japanese stepped up and asked for a "hot too dog goo". I got a hot too dog goo and learned to live with it.

Yeeup. Went to Korea, ate a good meaty lunch at this restaurant then went outside and waited for the bus to come pick me and my group up. As we were waiting out from behind the restaurant pulled out a flatbed truck with kennels full of nondescript brown dogs. One of the guys I was with turned to his daughter and said "Hey honey, guess what we had for lunch!"

Kells trainer has somewhat of a point. Porter's chin could finally get put to the test in this fight. He may think twice about giving Brook the bums rush when he feels his pop. We will see Porter have to adapt and I believe he is capable. Brook is somewhat of a wildcard. He is a legit fighter but has been fed soft opposition while Shawn has come off 2 big name victories. If your best win is against a guy Malignaggi TKO'd then this is certainly a whale of a step up for Brook. He has the goods but is untested. He showed heart against Carson Jones in the first fight, which was good to see, but this is on a completely different level. I'm just not sure if this is the right fight at the right time for Kell but it is must see because Brook puts on a show every time I've seen him fight.

Porter is going to destroy Brook. I wouldn't even doubt Brook pulling out of this fight with a "injury" again.
