I like Thurman to win because they've sparred and Porter has already repeatedly turned down the fight.

Stylistically this match-up favours Thurman. Porter's relentless, he comes at you non-stop and Thurman likes fighting on the backfoot, so Porter could walk into something big.

I like both guys, they are the future of 147, but I think Thurman beats Porter.

Porter needs more bouts before moving up to Thurmans status. I think he needs another year or two or the equivalent of 3 progressive bouts.
I just think his style needs more time to develop to make the climb forward a successful one. He needs to work on understanding distance and more experience with his pressure style. He may walk into something when facing a good puncher like Porter so a little more time to mature would be in his favor.
These guys are just now reaching their prime so there's no need to match them now. Another 2 years makes for a better fight in my opinion.
              Ray.

Porter walks into something big, and it's Thurman's fight to lose form there.

One Time wins with reach. Diego Chaves tried to rush Thurman similar to what Porter would and One Time boxed out of it.
