it was caused by a punch in the first round, Vargas says that it was from a head butt in the 2nd. but you could see half way through the 1st round a knot the size of a small egg on Vargas's eyebrow and it grew into a second head by the end of the fight.Comment

You won't get a difinitve answer, but I thought no.
Mosley landed some good right hands on the spot in the 1st, and there was swelling between rounds.
Vargas claims it was a butt in the 3rd.
Regardless, it was Shane's accurate trade mark looping right hand landing on the same spot over and over that swelled it up that bad. He knew it was swelling and took advantage, just as he should have.
I read Oscar and Bernard were going ape **** yelling at him to target the eye.

Well, I read Oscar signed BHop after criticism because at the time Golden Boy Promotions was predominently Latino company with latino boxers. So he expanded the corporate umbrella so to speak to African American fighters to ward off criticism if you ask me.
But it is weird that he has Hopkins and Mosley in his stable. I guess DLH must be a very humble and real person outside of boxing.Comment

it was caused initially by a punch, and then mosley just kept beating on it to make it bigger. dlh is a class guy, who else could get so close to guys who have tainted his boxing legacy. vargas could never do thatComment

To me that was not the way i wanted the fight to end it was a real close fight and varga's eye was close shut but if it wasnt for that he could of keeped on going it's not like he was hurt but mosley got the win fair and square.Comment
