The thing is Bellew was a puncher before the turned professional.

So I don't think it's like he pulled this belief in his power out of his arse. He can punch - I believe him.

His performance against Adonis was pretty pointless I didn't see what the aim was apart from to not get hit and hope Adonis emptied his gas task despite fighting a slow pace. Fighting of the back foot he was never going to be able to land the home run either.

I wonder if he regrets that fight.

I would back Bellew against Clev in the rematch.

I think Bellew is trying to get that Froch/Groves vibe going between him and Cleverley. Nothing puts bums on seats like a genuine grudge match.

Spot on. I thought the same when I see Cleverly promising "fireworks" when it comes to promoting their fight. Eddie Hearn probably has them both in drama school in between camps getting ready to ham it all up for the lead up....
