Am not even denying Cotto any credit whatsoever and yes I pick Martinez to KO Cotto, not disappointed because Cotto won or because Martinez lost because am not a fan of either fighter. I was just shocked that Martinez actually got cleared medically, he was in no state to be in a boxing ring with a knee like that, the fact that he needed knee support in a fight of this magnitude also tells me he was just there to cash out his belt.

True, he's always had balance issues, but there's a huge difference between a balance problem knockdown (like in the pavlik fight), and doing the booty dew. During the cotto fight, he most definitely was hurt quite a few times. That's not to speak to him having a weak chin or anything, just speaking to the facts.

Not sure if you meant to, or realize it, but you just corrected/disagreed with that poster. Wonder what he's gonna say next, that Martinez only had balance issues after his knee problems?

It's pretty sad. On the first video i thought Martinez was warming up, not sitting down on his punches. no lateral movement.

On the 2nd video he has a good snap, and bounce, moves fluidly with lateral movement and speed.

There were only two reasonable schools of thought going into the fight:
A past prime Martinez is still good enough to beat a smaller Cotto, or Martinez is completely shot and Cotto would win. The second happened, period.

If you were of the position that Cotto was catching Martinez at the perfect time and he was good enough to beat an over the hill Martinez, fair enough.

But if you're gonna try to tell me that Cotto does the same thing to any version of Martinez...
