Comments Thread For: Nonito Donaire Eyes Walters Clash: I Can Punch Too!

Five division world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire is set to train for at least three months for his next fight in which he is eyeing either a rematch with Simpiwe Vetyeka from whom he won the WBA featherweight super champion’s title or undefeated WBA regular title holder Nicholas Walters of Jamaica.

In an exclusive interview with Viva Sports and the Manila Standard, Donaire agreed with the observation of former two-division world champion Gerry Penalosa that he was short on training for his last three fights which is an observation Nonito agreed with.

    Well, there goes avoiding Walters.

Gonna be a stiff test for him winning titles higher up...... he might be trying to do it like Pac, but he's a lot older than when Pac marched up. I think Pac was a WW by this age.

hes turning into the new zab judah where hes constantly saying hes going to train more. i dont know it just dont seem like he has that fire anymore i could be wrong maybe he never had it but just seems his motivation for the sport is to support his family thats it. Not that there is anything wrong with that i just dont think he cares about being great anymore. The rigo lose did a number on him as far as that goes

I thought he was clear on giving an immediate rematch? Him facing Walters is a good fight though.

This is a good fight. 50/50 but slightly favoring Donaire since he's had way more experience at the top level.

Now , he is ducking betyeka . I'm sure that the ducker ducknaire will fight gradovich , who is easier than Walters and the African .
We know you already , you are a joke .
Who is your daddy ? Rigo is . Ja ja .

Why is he mentioning Walters, as far as i am concerned Simpiwe Vetyeka is still owed a rematch.

LOL So Donaire's really not going to even try to make the Rigo rematch happen? After all that ducking talk "Rigo hasn't done anything to deserve the fight" LOL
