Why would you jab someone in a streetfight, you dont need to create openings against a random guy with no boxing skills why didnt you just come at him like maidana or froch. If he was an average guy he most likely would have got knocked down/out or at least panicked from being unused to the situation.
I am starting to doubt my boxing...

No it wasen't "him going down" but the fact that me not being able to close the distance and getting pushed back as well getting trash talked after hitting him even though it was a jab.
I don't know, Im just looking to hear some feedback since I don't want my mind to assume things.Comment

Closing the distance in a street fight is very simple.
1. Kick legs, and his hands come down as a natural reaction
2. Step in and hit face with opening created by kick
Or, you could just limit yourself with using only boxing in a street fight and continue to produce results that cause you to doubt your abilities as a human being.Comment

You excluded the part when the both of you resumed fighting in a nearby parking lot, where he knocked you out cold then proceeded to anally pummel your unconscious body.Just wanna say that its been I think a year since I posted so its been a while.
So to get to the point, I got in to a phyiscal altercation with a guy bigger than me. So I hit him with a jab and he said "lol wtf was that BS" and he started circling around and anytime I would step to get close he would push me back.
I kept trying to close the distance but he kept circling around while keeping his distance while having two hands extended forward do I woulden't get close. In the end a bystander threatend to call the cops and we both left.
This was few months ago but me hitting him with a jab and he shaking it off really has made me lose faith in myself.
I don't know, ever since I been back in boxing I haven't been the same and am losing confident in my own skills.
Oh and I know fighting outside is wrong and I deeply regret it and I am deeply ashamed for being partly blamed for the incident.Comment
