"This" Cotto wasnt the Cotto that beat Mosley, its actually the very fight that changed Cotto for the worst in the long run.
I understand where you are coming from. But cotto changed his style drastically after the margarito and pacquiao fights. When he went from training with stewart to that cuban guy.

This, but to FMJr. credit he did show his defensive mastery during this fight and he also gave Cotto his due credit when he (Floyd) stated that Miguel has been his hardest foe....and he restated so after the Maidana fight as well.

Great fight. Ill pay to see it!

I think Cotto would get him to the ropes often, but Cotto wasn't all that effective on the ropes against Floyd before. He was much more effective with his jab and off the jab. Floyd's on-the-ropes defensive skills are effective against an orthodox attack like Cotto employs. Cotto would have to include more of those looping, odd angle punches like Maidana throws to really be effective.

Strange. Mayweather is slowing down and the more ringworn Cotto is miraculously speeding up.
