I think cotto would lose, but praising ggg's chin and power like it's been tested at the world class level is bs. He hasn't fought anyone yet. He's fought a bunch of JMWs and about the same level of comp as chavez before he fought sergio.

        It........

It doesn't make sense. They are in two totally different weight classes. On top of that, he is simply too little. GGG is too rangy also. Cotto has no advantage, not even hand speed. WHY would he fight GGG? It's not a smart move. Floyd or Canelo makes perfect sense and are the only fights he should think about. Not Bradley, not Thurman, not Porter, not Quillin, not Abraham.

I agree with you, no money to be made with the guys on the last sentence! I want to see him vs Floyd or preferably, Canelo.

The fight will never happen because cotto's team won't want it and there are more lucrative fights like Canelo out there.

But hypothetically speaking if cotto beat ggg without controversy would go as far as to say it would be alongside pacquaio win over Barrera, Hopkins over Trinidad and Marquez win over pacquaio.

But hey, we knew Sergio's health was a big question mark so all the credit goes to Cotto, he looked impressive, Viva la Mexico!

              A'ight my bad.

But apparently now he'd beat a hungry monster, who's in his prime, Gennady Golovkin...

              How?
There is a poll in the site that the vast majority (like 80%) thinks that GGG would KO Cotto.

Just a few fanatics will say that Cotto will win that fight.

Only sadistic ppl that want to see Cotto hurt bad would like to see that fight.

I have no interest. Triple G is naturally bigger and a true power puncher with style.

                ....

Lets be real GGG is not proven yet, fact is class D Gabriel Rosado put some work on him. I wish Gaby had any sort of punching power on him but he is a feather fist.

I take this version of Cotto over GGG, sorry.

Stylistically Cotto thrives against guys like Martinez who he can cut the ring off against. Martinez's big OK power was kind of a mirage. GG has real scary power and Cotto is way too small to test that.

A Canelo/GG fight is a lot more even in terms of size and one that would be very explosive.

They are not going to fight GGG. Boxing is business and the negotiations occur in the public domain. This is simply leverage for terms for a Mayweather or Canelo match up.

Strategically they want Mayweather first because that's the biggest paycheck and a loss doesn't hurt them for a subsequent fight both physically and financially.

Despite his great win he does not belong at middleweight.

There is no doubt in my mind that a lot of middleweights beat that version of Sergio that showed up.
If we're being honest Sergio has looked increasingly rubbish for years. The warning signs was there but I think a lot, myself included put all the stock into his knees.
I don't want to take anything away from Cotto but that just showed me how far gone he really is.
He has no punch resistance, nothing.

I'd rather see Cotto back at 154 where he belongs.
