Wards reluctance to leave the USA does not help. But being realistic he does not have many options at either 168 or 175. In my opinion he beats every one at 168 and 175.

If he beats all of them like you say, then what's the problem? Get to it already and start taking 'em down. If Ward moved up and beat Pascal, Kovalev and somehow secured a fight with Bhop or Stevenson those would be big fights and they would secure his legacy for sure. Also, I'm guessing he'd make decent money from those fights.

As for SMW? What's there for him? JCC Jr. is not going to happen when GGG or Froch are much more viable options in terms of money and the possibility of a win. GGG might take him eventually but Ward will have to wait a long ass time. Froch probably won't face him unless the situation is extremely favorable to him like fighting in England and a whole host of other things. Kessler is getting up there in years and he's not coming to the US for that fight.

What does a real Champion do? He makes whatever fights he can to not only secure his legacy but increase his stock. That's it. That's all Ward has to do and the money will come. Sure he'll never be Floyd but he's certainly not gonna get what he wants the way he's doing it now.

Andre, stop worrying about the money and fame, there is fame in itself with beating the beast Kovalev (saw him do a spar {on utube} against a big cruiser and he looked good). Take him on in Atlantic City, a good venue. Don't back down, you can crunch Froch, beat the beast and then open another can of whoop a** on Stevenson. Your skilz can take you 2 more weight classes up or down or maybe take a PPV against GGG. Your legacy would be set with a win over those guys before you even get to 35.

He doesn't have a history? Is that why when Lincoln met the author he told her that she wrote the book that caused the Civil War. So, fictional or not the book had a huge impact on US history. Personally, I think Ward should just retire. He is a boring fighter that holds and grabs to much. Sit on the side-lines. Ward you are not a star, you might beat everyone at 168 or 175 lbs but who cares, you are boring. STAY ON THE SIDELINES and watch the years and fighters go by.......

Ward would likely run a clinic on Kovalev (or anyone at 168-175 really) but there is a chance he could get caught and knocked out by Sergey or Adonis (not Hopkins since he lacks punching power)....I definitely wouldn't bet on it, but it's possible.

Kovalev and Adonis both have dangerous power....

Cotto should be the favorite over GGG......GGG COULD win, but he hasn't fought anyone nearly as skilled as Cotto is.....And until he does fight an A level fighter we should assume that Cotto would win.

Ward beats everyone in a fantasy match just like Floyd. In reality however Maidana gave Floyd all he could handle and Kovalev and Stevenson would do the same to Ward. Fights are not won on paper. Ward is a hypocrite that wants everything in his own terms. GGG should go up to face him, but he can't do the same to fight Kovalev. Froch is the draw but he wants the fight in america. Froch is ducking because he wants Chavez, but Ward was dying to get the Chavez sweepstakes.

Ward get something through your thick skull. You are not a draw and you don't call the shots. If you can't understand that then you might as well retire,

the only remotely interesting opponents remaining for ward at 168 lbs are groves, dirrell and maybe degale. i'm not interested in watching this guy rematch fighters he has already comfortably beaten. ward needs to accept that he is 3rd choice for chavez jr, and golovkin has unfinished business at middleweight.
