  • This fight actually gets me really excited. I hope Ward sees the potential in this fight. As a Ward fan, this is the fight I want to see the most right now. Winner definitely becomes the most feared man in boxing.

Kovalev as well as HBO is still building him up, he is not a Draw yet, Decent Ratings on HBO means what exactly? Adrien Broner was pulling Big Ratings for HBO before moving to Showtime So What Does That Mean?

You let fighters become Stars then you purse them, that is probably a PPV fight another year or so from now instead of being a NETWORK FIGHT if he fights him within the next few MONTHS

Ward is acting too desperate and when you do this people start doing exactly what they doing to him now, they give him the run around, they say they want to fight him but never make the call or the effort to make a fight with him. Ward just need to keep fighting at 168 and let one of these guys COME TO HIM. The man JUST TURNED 30, just entering him PRIME as a fighter. Again Many fighters before him did not become Draws until they was well into their 30's. Champions and P4P Top Fighters shouldn't be CHASING guys who are rated much lower than they are, THEY SHOULD BE COMING AFTER THE BEST! Ward should just fight on and wait for someone to grow a Pair and come after him.

"STYLE" has nothing to do with it, great Much Ups is what the fans want regardless of STYLES. Right now their are no great Match Up for Ward because it is truly not anybody at 160 or 175 that fights TRULY BELIEVE can beat Ward because if their was, fans would be screaming to see their favorite fighter take out the #2 Fighter P4P in the world

      • Ward: "The big money fights are at 168"

        translation: I'd fight Froch again

Froch: "I see no need to face Ward again"

Come on Ward, stop making up excuses...your days of million dollar paydays are all but gone, time to bite the bullet.

Ward wants a PPV fight so bad, he's willing to flush his prime years down the toilet waiting for one.

          • Hey guys, Bernard Hopkins is 49, okay? Not 50...quit exaggerating fighter's ages.

But now that Martinez is done and Cotto is looking for ppv worthy names, GGG should probably move up.
But the same 'people'(******s is more appropriate) feel GGG beats Froch and Kessler at 168, so what's the problem?

Kovalev KOs Andre and his suspect chin no doubt about it...that hitting and clinching style won't work against a much bigger, stronger man...

LOL Earth to Andre...Andre, wake up call...reality check..no fight with you is a PPV fight...you whiny Diva pos...You have a boring hit and clinch style...

                  ...

Ward should be dropped from the pound for pound list..he has fought two opponents in 3 years...one was a weight drained and shot Dawson who will never be the same since he drained himself to make 168 because Ward was too pus to move up...and the media and racist fans gave him a pass on it (but wouldn't have if Pacquiao did that)

I'm not demanding any fight with you, Andre, because you refused to take less money to fight Froch in the U.K.

                  You don't leave Cali...

You were the only one to never fight outside the U.S. for the Super 8 Tourney...

You are everything that is wrong with boxing..you are this new age boxer who has to act like a Diva and never take any challenges you aren't extremely comfortable with...
Agreed 100%. He is in some really boring fights, and is definitely not PPV material. Kov would probably KO him, so yeah, let's stay home and do safe matchups in CA. I like him as a commentator, but that's about it.

Come on now Kev, just ask Kellerman "Highest KO% in MW history". Then there are the tales of him hurting LHWs in sparring with 20 oz gloves on. With this kind of hype surrounding him, you can't blame anyone for their predictions.
