NEW YORK – A second fight against Manny Pacquiao is one rematch Miguel Cotto apparently won’t entertain.

Trainer Freddie Roach and promoter Bob Arum appear to be against the possibility of Cotto taking a shot at avenging his 12th-round technical knockout loss to Pacquiao in November 2009. Cotto has long complained that being forced to fight Pacquiao at a catch weight of 145 pounds, two beneath the welterweight limit, adversely affected him during their WBO welterweight title fight in Las Vegas.

I honestly thought about this rematch as soon as cotto took care of martinez, but since freddie roach sort of helped resurrect cotto's career, i cant see this happening..especially since freddie will be in manny's corner if this rematch were to ever happen.

Stop with Pac-Cotto...same trainer...Cotto will never fight below 154 again...let's move on..what's this obsession with trying to make Pac move up in weight...he's already won 8 division titles...Andre Ward won't even move up to win his second LOL..and Mayweather has only won 5..if anything...

The fight to be made would be Mayweather-Cotto...but ala Canelo and Marquez...Floyd would probably make it a 154 1/2 catch weight for the MW title and then Floyd would weigh-in at 156 1/2...
