Never rated Provodnikov as highly as most, and this is why. There is enough in the Herrera, Bradley and even Alvarado fights to see that he struggles to hit a moving target and has a terrible defence. Algieri boxed very well, showed smart movement and defence. All that with 1 eye. Impressive

LOL, is he really about to burst into tears? It's sad that commentators can't just call what they see without their bias getting in the way.

Feel for Ruslan, but Chris did some good work in the 2nd half of the fight. Ruslan is always prone to be outworked. That's why this fight always had question marks.

I think he might shock alot of people in this fight, just depends how good his chin is also, iv seen him kod in kickboxing from a punch but it looked like a ****** amatuer mistake by algeiri. Algeiri on points, possibly wide for me.

Well wasnt wide but damn im glad i put money on him to win nice £2000 won!!!!

Seriously. Instead of going into their post fight analysis about the upset and what Algieri did to get the decision, Kellerman started backtracking saying he was going to rescore the fight in order to try to save his reputation as an analyst. Lampley was even worse he still refused to accept that he may have been blinded by bias and continued to say that Provodnikov won. It would have been a great time to play up the underdog and say something like "boxing is not decided by odds and bookies, but by the two men in the ring" or something about the exciting unpredictability of the great sport. Instead, Lampley looked like he was going to cry himself to sleep.

I picked Ruslan thinking Algieri was just some pretty boy Top Rank picked up to prop Ruslan up for a Pacquaio fight. Guilty as charged. Algieri is a really good boxer.
