you are trying to hard to convince someone who dont care what you think, point is tito had problems with fighters who move and are quicker, theres no secret there.... but why do you keep bringing up pac...? Make points about both tito and floyd if you want, but it makes no sense to keep bringing up pac!!

No that doesn't make him look bad, and pernell certainly didn't fight like a cokehead. He fought like a 35 yr old atg vet who was a stylistic nightmare for trinidad. Oscar didn't whoop that version of Whitaker. Trinidad handed Whitaker his first real loss imo.
Floyd problem would be the same as Whitaker's. He'd have to get inside to do any kind of hurtful work on tito, and I just don't see him being successful.[/QUOTE]
If you held my feet to the fire I'd pick Tito. But I also wouldn't be surprised if Floyd beat him 12-0. Its a toss up fight. Which is what I said in my original post.Comment

Hasnt fighters like pac, mayweather, cotto, floyd, mosely, toney ,jones, tyson, rahman, martinez among others prove that bigger isnt always better?? Prime example of people saying size matters was cotto vs martinez, and who won that fight? OkAy . ThenLast edited by LouIE G; 06-09-2014, 09:35 PM.Comment

If floyd had whitewashed a guy like paul Williams, who had height and reach and was decent, then I would fancy his chances against a natural welterweight the likes of Trinidad. Trinidad is levels above anybody floyd beat at 147. Judah, baldymere, Ortiz, hatton? Come on. They weren't even natural welters.Comment

Did you actually see those fights? Vargas was done after one, Reid was put down 8 times, and ODH ran after a very good left hook landed early\mid fight. GeezzTito was great and had a "punchers chance", but lets be real. His skill level was not on Floyd's level. He didn't beat any elite WW EITHER, and got out boxed by Oscar. He also was getting worked and out boxed by "THE GREAT" David Reid, and Fernando Vargas before resorting to hitting both with low blows. He might have beat him but i doubt it.
Floyd would need power to keep Tito from coming in, a respect punch which he does not now or had then. So countering a 25 year old Tito would do very little to discourage him from going forward. Oscar gave him some problems, but he was in his dead prime, a non prime Oscar gave Floyd issues, so what does that say? If we are looking at common opponents.Comment
