Tito would have punished Floyd. That little cute shoulder roll in the corner would not have worked on Tito. Tito had the stamina and the power to wear Floyd down and harm him.

All you have to do is watch the bhop vs Tito fight. Bhop beat him up and then knocked him out. Tito had no answers. That shoulder roll had tito frustrated and confused. Also he didnt have his speacial wraps on cause naseem Richardson spotted him and corrected the situation. With legal hand wraps and gloves tito was quite ordinary. Still I loved his electricity, and I respected the bond between him and his father. They made a great team.

My first thought: What else would he say? lol

Tito would, of course, have the puncher's chance -- nothing to sneeze at, considering he could put Floyd's lights out with one shot. Oh, but to land that shot....

The Mayweather of 06-07 who was a smaller WW than he has been after his "retirement" from 08-09, would fare better as his legs were quicker than.

I won't undersell Tito's chances. He was a very hard hitter, naturally bigger than Floyd, with a good variety of punches. he could do real damage with one punch, and finished well.

          still, i favor Floyd slightly

yah, of course he's gonna think he would win. it's only natural.

tito wasn't likely to take you out with one shot (Barring body punches), but he could do serious damage with one shot or two, and finished well. Floyd has always come back strong when he's been hurt or buzzed (Mosley, Corley), but needless to say, a WW Trinidad is a better finisher and better fighter than those 2.

What kind of gloves would Mayweather make Tito wear for this fight?

He punched a lot harder than Maidana.

                    Fanboys........

The people on here picking Floyd are fanboys. They have no idea who Tito really was, then. Floyd's defense can only get him so far. He gets away with it, mainly because of who he fights. he's a great fighter but he's no ATG. People look at the Hopkin's fight as some kind measuring tool, not realizing the fact that Hopkin's was TOO BIG for Tito. Middleweight was too BIG for Tito. His power was special at 147/154lbs. Not many would go 12 with him, especially today.

B-Hop is a much naturally bigger fighter than Mayweather. B-Hop said he could've left 160 years before he did in 2006, and I believe him.

Mayweather worked his way up to 147, and due to his leg and foot speed, the 2006-07 Floyd would have been better off against Tito than the 2009-on. Floyd was still small for a WW then, he has grown more into WW as time has gone on.

Tito was also a better fighter at 147 than when he fought Hopkins at 160. Bigger puncher for the division, a little less in love with his power (watch the Carr fight for example).

I still favor Floyd slightly, but I wouldn't really take much from the Hopkins fight in terms of how Floyd would school Tito.
