martinez actually wasn't injured. he suffered a broken nose and a bad concussion..........(which explains why he said he felt dizzy after the first round)

I was rooting for Martinez all the way, especially in that horrible 1st round. But if he took the fight knowing that his knee wasn't ready for a fight of that magnitude, shame on him. I still think the 2010 Maravilla that won Ring Magazine fighter of the year would annihilate Saturday's Cotto. But no excuses, Cotto fought the fight of his career and he came with poise to make history.
