Sergio Martinez was a true champion in defeat by not making excuses and several posters on here with Sergio in their avatars have not mentioned the knees and have nothing but praise for what Miguel did on Saturday night,however I have noticed many Margacheato fans constantly bashing the win and clutching to that tainted win that haopened so many years ago...

Cotto was a beast last saturday but that doesn't change the fact that Martinez should retire from boxing, he didn't spar or even run during camp.

I was rooting for Martinez all the way, especially in that horrible 1st round. But if he took the fight knowing that his knee wasn't ready for a fight of that magnitude, shame on him. I still think the 2010 Maravilla that won Ring Magazine fighter of the year would annihilate Saturday's Cotto. But no excuses, Cotto fought the fight of his career and he came with poise to make history.

Martinez is a class act and a great champion. I can't speak highly enough of him. I think he should retire, but whatever he does, I wish him nothing but the best.

As far as the Cotto haters, well that's just what they do. They won't give him any credit and continue to talk shit. Who really cares? Us getting all worked up is what they want. For me, I'm happy with Miguel's victory and nothing can change that. The more people hate, regardless of who or what they're hating on, the worse they look.
