    Julio

    He's a bruiser, allright.
I was very impressed with his ring skills and power last night.
He reminds me of a young WBA Light Heavyweight Champion of the past Vincente Rondon, in terms of his stance and shot selection.
Rondon was a very skilled and fluid boxer/puncher who unfortunately happened to be around at the same time as the great Bob Foster.
I am looking forward to seeing Julio vs Quintana as well, thanks for that.
    Jack

just for the record the guy that he beat wilmer mejia is now well on his way to being a complete chicken ****, two fights in a row he has just quit on his stool. he did the same thing against john duddy, in a middleweight fight, not too long ago.

i really dont think anyone should put any stock into julio beating this guy, nejia is worthless, for cryin out loud it looks like he wears makeup....

but going back to what you said, stickin julio in with a guy who has fought at middle might lead you to believe they are slowly trying to move him up into fighting the bigger guys.

Lets see if he can beat a guy like Carlos Quintana, which I think he can but it is a huge step in opponent's class and will be a great competitive fight, before talking about him beating Cotto. It's funny how anyone can beat Cotto since he was hurt by Corley(who also hurt Mayweather), even Malignaggi can beat Cotto now.

Wow I didn't know he was fighting Quintana in the future here. That should be an interesting fight between two good upcoming prospects. Thanks for that info.

Julio is definitely a big strong welter. He should be up at 154 pretty soon. I'd like to see him in with a proven tough fighter...someone like a David Estrada.

it looked like they pulled that guy he fought out of the stands and told him to pretend he was a boxer. i wouldnt even think of julio fighting a top level guy after seeing how pathetic his competition was last night. there is no way to judge how good he is based on that garbage competition.

like i said in an earlier post, this mejia guy has now quit on his stool 2 fights in a row, and never put up an effort as far as im concerned. mejis wears glitter on his face and in his hair.
