I was obviously impressed by the way he cuts off the ring. A very underrated asset among these fighters.
Interesting prospect matchup for the future: Cotto v.s. Julio down the road at welter. Cotto as we know cuts off the ring as well or better than anyone, potential great style matchup there.
He'll be fighting Carlos Quintana from Puerto Rico on June 24 on HBO. I've only seen Quintana fight a couple of times on ESPN2 and I don't think he can handle the pressure and power of Julio but I'll be pulling for him, I think he'll get KO'ed but it may turn out to be a great fight. He is very similar to Cotto although I would say Cotto is a little faster, throws better combinations and a better boxer.
I'm surprised not many people are talking about this fight, I think it will be a great one.

You heard it here first.
The kid is looking damn good. Watching him reminded me of a bigger Cotto.
I would love to see him and cotto swing arms.
By the way, how much does Andre Ward weigh? I would love to see this kid fight the olypian.
I can see him hurting Ward really bad with those body shots.
Talking about him fighting Cotto anytime soon is futile. Cotto's world class at 140, and this kid is still on the way up and learning at 147. If it ever happened, it's so far away from now it's pointless discussing it.
This kid is a big Welter. I think you hear Steward say he thinks he'll end up at Middleweight.
