As far as I can remember, Rodriguez was the the only JWW that Cotto was able to truly hurt. Forman...No! Trout..Nope! Margarito...he hit him with EVERYTHING & he still kept coming, even with a bummed eye. He couldn't even stun Floyd who weighed much less than him! Now all of the sudden, he moves up one whole weight class, finds all this new punching power and KO's the middleweight king?? Yes, I know Martinez was past it worse than we thought, but still, Marquez has been crucified labeled a cheat with no evidence at all, even though Pac walked into the perfect punch. I am NOT saying he is on anything, I am just wondering, why no scrutiny or accusations for Cotto?

Because he used nothing but technique and skills last night. Same physical abilites as always, he was just fine tuned and perfectly prepared by Roach and the team.Comment

I'd say MOSTLY technique and skills, but his power was on point. Cotto's always been a good puncher, he's just gotten away from that style the last few years before Freddie brought it back out of him. Both Freddie and Gavin (his conditioning coach) are a formidable 1-2 punch when it comes to making Cotto's strengths shine. Gavin also stated on record sometime before/after I think Pacman vs. Rios or Ruslan vs. Alvarado that he refuses to work with athletes who are on PEDs.Comment

I don't think Cotto is on PEDs, he has a really good conditioning coach, same one that trained Pierre.Comment
