Mayweather seems set on fighting in September, and Canelo could lose his next fight. I don't see another big fight for Cotto out there if that happens.

GGG is way too high a risk for Cotto. He'll go where the money is at. That means Canelo if he gets past Lara or a Floyd rematch. I would say Lara if he won but even if he did get past Ginger I don't think Cotto would give him the time of day.

for one, cotto makes more fighting canelo. its the bigger fight. if cotto beats canelo then the GGG fight gets even bigger. GGG then beats cotto and he becomes a star. Win or lose, the GGG will always be there for Cotto. Why risk getting KO'd before getting that Canelo payday?

The more lucrative thing isn't necessarily the right thing. Golovkin has been in line for a title shot for quite some time. Facing him would indeed be the right thing. But like I said, I don't knock cotto for opting with Canelo or Floyd. U don't miss out on those opportunities, esp when u will get murdered for doing so.
