  • Why is Wladimir Klitschko reluctant to fight Kubrat Pulev?

Wladimir was eager to fight the limited Alexander Leapai.

But Kubrat Pulev is much better, and will give Wladimir a tough fight. Pulev has earned his title shot more than many others like Mormeck and Wach.

I've been seeing a side to Wladimir that is different lately. He thought giving Pulev 25% of the purse bid was too much, and got it lowered to 20%. But he's rich, so why do that?

I've wondered the same thing. That said, it's hard to imagine a scenario where Pulev would actually beat Wlad

Vladimir want's belts, Kubrat does not have one.

In a nutshell. And he knows, nobody gives a damn about Pulev.

If he goes after the last belt, I'll forgive him.

            Aren't they fighting next?

Because he'd apparently rather unify that last belt and be undisputed. I'd rather see Wlad/Stiverne than Wlad/Pulev for that reason alone.

nothing to gain by beating pulev. he wants that last belt. cant fault him there. pulev doesn't have much power either so I really don't see why wlad would be leery of him. its the pressure fighters with pop that trouble wlad and pulev just isn't that guy

I am confident he will fight him if he is the number 1 challenger. He has always fought his top challenger before. He is a good champion. As far as him holding out for a larger share of the money goes rich fighters continue to do that no matter how rich they become.

Wlad needs to make this fight....

He has alot of options vs top guys like chisora, fury, pulev, etc..

There is no need to fight the mcormicks or leapai of the world...

I like wlad, but i wanna see him vs top guys, and over the past few years he has only fought haye and povetkin... He needs to step it up
