Can someone explain the point of Golovkin-Geale?

  • Yeah what sense does it make for a title holder to be defending his belt against a top contender? That is just silly right?

People are way to disrespectful on NSB. Geale is a solid fighter, obvioulsy top 5 MW at the moment. Elite, no. Solid, yes.
If you fight Golovkin, you're a bum... end of story

      • They have to eat...................like everyone else GGG, his team and everyone involved aren't working for nothing. If you fight as a pro you need to fight!!
Maybe he should get a job at the Dairy Queen in town? Or Tire Kingdom?

They do a good job when you consider no one at 160 will sign the dotted line!Ray

come on are you serious? Geale is a former titlist with some very good wins over in Germany. The guy is skilled, has decent pop and is better than 95% of GGGs previous opponents. Plus he is a top 5 middleweight.

This is a good fight, just appreciate it.

          • If it means anything...Geale is rated number 2 at middleweight by the Ring Magazine.

I mean other than Quillin and Murray, Geale is the only legit opponent for GGG at 160. The other two have been actively ducking Golovkin so it's not his fault.

The fact that this will be the best fighter he has ever fought says a lot about GGG.

                  • To watch Golovkin "good boy" another top middleweight and then, to LOL while watching NSB continue to act like he's unproven so they can continue justifying why their favorite fighters are avoiding him like the bubonic plague.

                    Obviously.

                    • Because GGG is too scared to test his "power" at 168
