Why do so many posters on this site hate Miguel Cotto?

I understand there is a Mexico and Puerto Rico rivalry.... but there seem to be a universal hatred from all demographics for Cotto... why is this?

He always comes across as a nice bloke and is a solid fighter who takes on all comers, so why the hate?

Saying the negative remarks are because of Roach is about as ****** as ****** can get. Cotto has always been a top-notch fighter before Roach and will be after Roach. Truth be told no one really cares about Roach training juice boy Pacroid. Cotto needed a trainer and picked Roach. One thing has nothing to do with the other!!! But I bet *******s won't be demanding Pacroid get in the ring with Cotto now. They'll start crying again about how tough Pacroid is but in the same breath they'll make a cop out CO the fight not happening due to juice boy Pacroid being to small and suggest Cotto move up to fight someone else. But they never demand juice boy Pacroid to move up for a fight against anyone. They want people to drain themselves for this test ducker. ..

Both Cotto and Roach are known to be pretty shty people. I dont think winning or losing changes that.
Boxing wise, its not as if we saw some epic battle. We saw a guy that was once pretty great getting into the ring when he shouldnt have based on his condition.
That's pretty much it. Anyone that sees it different probably has an axe to grind.
