Hell, against Chavez and Murray we all know he fought with one hand and what little legs he had left.
You see this clawn Arum tlaking about Martinez taking too much time off. Are they really that ******? They think this is becuase of inactivity?
Freddy the ****roach, another disgusting SOB, trash talking Martinez for months and now that Cotto beat him like a child tries to put him on an altar. GTFO
The question got answered, Martinez injuries are far worse than it seemed and he has the heart of a lion but no body left that can keep up with it. I just wish he had given up after Chavez. Jr and retire with the dingnity he deserved rather than giving these vultures the pleasure.
you make a good point, none of us knew just how b ad Martinez's injuries were but credit to the great man for not making any excuses.

True, MArtinez looked like garbage but I can't take anything away from Cotto, he looked like he was hitting on every cylinder. Whatever program that conditioning guy has Cotto on is soon to be the "in-thing" because , I've never seen Cotto look that good on his best day.

Definitely, Sergio certainly belongs in the HOF, he had a great career. I don't understand why he doesn't just go to that NFL doctor who fixed up RG 3's knee because these Argentine doctors don't seem to be up to the task.

Seems that the information Cotto camp had was correct and Martinez was clearly done before the fight. I mean were not even talking about a 50% Martinez, we're talking about a man that can barely walk around any more and should have never got in the ring with injuries FAR worse than anyone predicted.
Good bye Sergio!, there was no need to go out like that, you had already proven more than enough.
But...WHO predicted his chin was injured? You know it was his chin right?
Sorry for your loss. First Machine-gun-Matty, and now, Mara Villa. Does it ache deep near your kidney or just around the rim? Get back to me though.

Martinez needs to SUE the doctor. Apparently, they overlooked his chin. The should have reinforced his chinny chin with some titanium for the Cotto fight. Maybe gave him an extra eardrum? Something. I say he has a lawsuit on his hand.
