Lol at some of these comments, Cotto was most peoples underdog in the fight, also considered to be on the decline of his career, stepping up to a weight where most people thought he was far too small and taking on a guy that although had question marks over him was still highly regarded yet some bozo's still try and diminish the victory. Gotta love how fickle some boxing fans are.

Canelo next if he gets past Lara.

I like how the know jack ***** ****s here come talking trash after the fact! The same azz clowns that said Martinez was gonna **** Cotto in the ring! Martinez made no excuses why are all you bandwagon fans making excuses! Simple better man won last night and it wasn't Martinez night. All the talk about how Martinez hasn't fought anybody good and his record stinks, biotches please, Martinez fought a long list of champions and beat them all pretty bad so give him some respect. Unless you've laced up the gloves, and I don't mean on your couch with the Xbox sitting there eating a box of Ho Ho's, don't disrespect a boxer let alone a Champion like Martinez was. Cotto came out like a ****d ape like the Cotto of old seems like Freddie has lit a candle under Cotto's azz and turned back the clock. It didn't matter what version of Martinez showed up last night because Cotto's determination to become the 1st 4 division Champ in PR history was to great. Thank you Sergio for some great fights, the KO of the year vs. Paul Williams, the azz kicking of the year vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., if you decide to retire now no shame and enjoy the rest of your days knowing you were a true Champion that always gave the people great fights.

Martinez corner did the right thing in stopping the fight. I was one of these guys that thought Martinez would Ko Cotto. No excuses from me Martinez knee was okay until Cotto landed that left hook. Congratulations to Miguel and for Martinez I hope he will think about retiring from the sport. He was in the ring with a faster fighter something Sergio hasn't been in with and faced in years.

No, that's YOUR definition. Victor Ortiz vs. Maidana was quitting, this was not.......
