Margarito is an idiot. He will never have the same vision again because of his "machismo"...

Martinez on the other hand will have a good life after boxing.

Not being able to continue is quitting. Yes it sounds harsh but that is what its called when your corner stops the fight from continuing.

Don't mean to sound harsh, but almost everyone would disagree with you.

Not continuing because your corner stops the fight is just that.

Not continuing because the fighter wants to stop the fight is what most would consider quitting.

To beat the man who beat the man, that's just a beautiful win. From here, win or lose, Miguel is surely a future Hall of Famer.

              Congratulations Miguel and Freddie.

We hold fighters who keep fighting even in the face of almost certain defeat (and without thinking of their long-term health) in high regard.
But there's nothing wrong with a fighter (or his corner) who decides that he simply shouldn't continue to get hurt anymore.

It's not "quitting" if it's not the boxers choice.

Right cotto you ve beat a Martinez who s way past his best, both knees damaged which became evident in round 1, and an old man. Now cotto fight GGG or Chavez if you think ur a topic ke weight.

Basically fight a legitimate middle weight who's not a cripple.
