Not being able to continue is quitting. Yes it sounds harsh but that is what its called when your corner stops the fight from continuing.Comment

Exactly cotto was focused and was the better fighter ppl thought size would win they should know that doesn't work just look how Sergio beat Chavez easy it's skills that win you the fightComment

Don't mean to sound harsh, but almost everyone would disagree with you.
Not continuing because your corner stops the fight is just that.
Not continuing because the fighter wants to stop the fight is what most would consider quitting.Comment

We hold fighters who keep fighting even in the face of almost certain defeat (and without thinking of their long-term health) in high regard.
But there's nothing wrong with a fighter (or his corner) who decides that he simply shouldn't continue to get hurt anymore.Comment

Wow this is why boxing won't go that far......martinez had a nice run stoping and beating the crap out of people who where much bigger then him in a weight class he didn't belong he..blow out his knee and comes back to fight the ALWASY dangurious pr future hall of fame and legend(at least in my eyes)miguel cotto.....loses.........and now sergio martinez is a hypejobs, overrated, stuffed down our throats ,qutter..,.......shame on yaComment

Right cotto you ve beat a Martinez who s way past his best, both knees damaged which became evident in round 1, and an old man. Now cotto fight GGG or Chavez if you think ur a topic ke weight.
Basically fight a legitimate middle weight who's not a cripple.Comment
