If he goes 50/50 with canelo he could make similiar money or not far off what floyd would offer.
Cotto got something like $13m when he fought Floyd.

Also, Miguel Cotto is a promotional free agent. Top Rank has no future options on him. Therefore, he could easily exit and fight for another promotional company if he so desires.

Right now a Canelo match makes the most money and sense for him because Showtime still owes Mayweather $100 Mil for his last three fights. Mayweather can't offer him anything of significance because it would cut into his guarantee.

Therefore, he would probably be forced to take substantially less money than he previously had made against Floyd when they fought the first time under his old HBO contract. Only, unless Golden Boy steps up and give him a better offer and that will only happen if he challenges Canelo Alvarez.

However, If Miguel does decide to fight Money again he would probably demand at least twice the amount he was offered the first time when he was defeated by him by using his championship title as leverage.

Canelo presents more danger. From our standpoint though, Cotto/Canelo is the fight that's most intriguing.
