So who is the Lineal Junior middleweight champion right now then? Or who was the last one?

Floyd Mayweather vs. Miguel Cotto II - 155lbs catch-weight
      Keith Thurman vs. Marcos Maidana

      That PPV would sell.

If Roach has anything to do with it, Cotto will definitely seek out Floyd. The guy has been obsessed with beating Mayweather since the Oscar fight. I wouldn't mind seeing a rejuvenated Cotto in a rematch.

You have to think that Mayweather's team is going to get into contact with Miguel Cotto's people immediately. The thing is that Mayweather Promotions & Miguel Cotto Promotions can do this PPV by themselves, I think Cotto's team has to seriously consider this possibility and Al Haymon can easily supply some fighters for the undercard if he has to. Mayweather needs a big name to get his buy-rates up and Danny Garcia will not do that. If Mayweather can't get any other names to fight then Mayweather vs. Maidana II is the only real option.

Wait a minute, Floyd doesn't have the welterweight lineage. Where's that coming from?

He beat Baldomir, after Baldomir upset Judah in 06

Retired then came back and beat Mosley for his Lineal title.
