If Cotto fans are so adamant on saying Sergio was 100% ok then he needs to take the big fights like GGG, unless of course he fights Canelo. Srcub/Crippled/Long Layoff is a pattern I dont want to see is. He wont the MW belt now freaking defend it. To take the belt because he wants his 4th title in 4 divisions and not defend it like Sergio was doing is a little prima donna-ish.

the point is not in backing someone up, the point is the hypocrisy... excuses are ok for cotto and his fans only and no one else? but if someone tells you "martinez has no legs" what do you do? you laugh and call him a crybaby, right?

i only saw the last 3 rds but from what i saw, martinez was there just to collect a check.

I felt the same way. Martinez knew he didn't belong in the ring anymore but managed to squeak in a PPV fight so he could collect his pension and retire form boxing.
I hate people that buy these PPV fights. Boxing is not worth PPV, I'm a huge boxing fan but there is no reason to buy the show on TV when you can get tickets for the same price. PPV does not help the boxing community except for a handful of fighters.
Want better fights? Stop buying PPV.
