haha im guessing you lost alot of money. Everyone knows cotto's done well with southpaws faster than himself. e.g. Zab judah. Sergio just couldnt recover from the first round, he got dropped 3 times and was beaten up.

My little sister could've beaten martinez in the shape he was in. Cotto doesn't deserve very much credit for winning this fight.

Woopty doo cotto beat some old guy who could barely stand up straight. If you think that's a major accomplishment for cotto you're an idiot.

Man stop it. I'm not a Martinez fan but I can see the black padding on both knees. None of those punches that rocked Martinez were special, it so obvious or your just ignorant.

Miguel did what he was supposed to do and did it very well...But on general principle, i can't give him too much credit for beating the Martinez that showed up. This is why the best need to fight each other when they are in their prime.

It would be ideal if the best fighters fought each other in their prime, but let's get real: that's not always going to happen. Boxing is a business and that frequently factors in to who fights who, when and in what division. And sometimes you don't know when a fighter is in his prime until he clearly isn't.

Miguel Cotto beat the Sergio Martinez that entered the ring last night. That was his job. Anybody with functioning eyes saw that this version of Martinez was a shadow of his former self, but you can't blame Martinez or Cotto for that.

Could Cotto have put the same kind of beating on a healthy Sergio Martinez two or three years ago? Noboby will ever know. Unfortunately a lot of the fans here enjoy mental ************ so we get a bunch of useless woulda, coulda, shoulda conversations.

                  No more excuses!!!!

For all of you screaming "the knee, the knee", Hospital report is in, Martinez suffered a Concussion and a broken nose. MRI and CT scans reveal no problems or abnormality's with Martinez' knees or hand. Martinez admitted that the first left that landed on his temple in the first round he could never recover from because it more the likely caused a concussion, plus soon after that punch Cotto landed a shot on the back of Martinez' head which more then likely sealed the knocking off of his equilibrium. Martinez even admitted that after the first Left hook landed he felt like he was completed disconnected from his body.

LMAO, try again losers. This was a legit a.s.s. kicking. By Martinez' and his entire corners own admission. Martinez was not prepared for this fight point blank end of story.

I have to agree with you. Zab Judah probably could whip this version of Martinez.
