  • Why doesn't Ward want to fight anybody?

Got offered names like degale, Bika and Anthony Dirrell, but he still complains he can't get a fight?

Seriously....dude just keep falling down a hole

Battling a promoter in court carries risk. This isn't Judge Judy. A lawsuit could take months, years to be resolved. However Ward maintains that he is willing to fight for Goossen while the lawsuit plays out. But he says he has not had one legitimate offer from Goossen since December. Names like Sakio Bika, James DeGale and Anthony Dirrell have been floated but, says Ward, those fights represent a step back. And while there has been a public push for Ward to move up to light heavyweight--specifically for a fight with Sergey Kovalev--Ward says there are still plenty of opponents for him in the super middleweight division.
Goosen screwing me over! Because I can't stop saying no to the fights he offers me!

Let him go the way of Winky Wright, I won't miss him.

Ward figures Super 6 should have made him a super star.. But the guy who came in 2nd is getting all the glory.
Ward hasn't moved past this yet and is probably a bit delusional about his own star power.
For whatever reason.. Ward has no star power and he needs to accept it and BOX already.
Stardom is like a virus.. Some people catch it and some don't.
It sucks when those not as good as you catch it. But whining about it isn't going to fix it.

Ward has done this to himself.....when you think you are too good, then you just must be too good.

Ward has a $1.75 million contracted guarantee per fight. Might have something to do with it.

Those offers were before the lawsuit though.

Cause he's boring and shouldn't be on TV. Ward and his 20 fans can go else where. We don't want to see him or have him take up resources to air his **** fights. I don't even like him commentating.

You know what's a bigger step back? Inactivity

I'm not missing seeing him fight so I couldn't care less what happens with Ward.

I believe Ward's problems are two-fold. 1.) he needed a more aggressive promoter -- One that would capitalize on his strengths and accomplishments and market him on that basis 2.) Ward also, needed to keep active by cleaning house anywhere he can, not just in his hometown.

Winning the Super-Six was the perfect platform from which to build. But for some strange and very odd reason, no one in Ward's camp\corner thought to capitalize on that accomplishment. Ward's team should have insisted he get away from home and start having fights in the so-called mecca's of boxing.

Team Ward have squandered a golden opportunity ... now ?
